Aligned Grain Flow Technology is a forging technology exclusive to JE.
It allows the grain flow of the aluminium (alloy 2618) to be directed specifically along the areas of the piston subject to the greatest stress, drastically increasing structural strength compared to traditional forging.
The piston crown is fitted as standard with a ceramic thermal coating.
A molybdenum-based coating applied to the piston skirt drastically reduces friction and wear.
